TBPI Testing & Efficacy
Aeiro has conducted and sponsored laboratory testing, including testing performed by independent third-party laboratories, to evaluate the performance and efficacy of its Targeted Bipolar Pulsed Ionization (TBPI®) technology.
Testing has evaluated the technology's ability to reduce, remove, or inactivate certain airborne contaminants under defined experimental conditions.
Published performance results, including percentage reductions, inactivation rates, and treatment times, reflect the specific equipment, contaminants, operating parameters, test methods, and conditions identified in the applicable studies.
Such results demonstrate performance under the tested conditions and should not be interpreted as proof of identical performance against different contaminants, using different equipment configurations, or under conditions outside those evaluated.
Aeiro maintains technical and scientific documentation supporting its published product-specific performance claims.
Health Claims
Aeiro products are designed to improve indoor air quality through the treatment, reduction, or removal of certain airborne contaminants.
Aeiro does not represent or warrant that its products will prevent, diagnose, treat, or cure any disease, illness, infection, or medical condition.
References to viruses, bacteria, mold, allergens, particulate matter, volatile organic compounds, and other contaminants describe the intended air-treatment functions of the technology and do not constitute claims regarding individual medical or health outcomes.
Actual health outcomes depend on numerous factors beyond the operation of an air-purification system. No specific health benefit is guaranteed by the purchase, installation, or use of Aeiro products.
Performance Variability & Real-World Conditions
The effectiveness of an air-purification system may vary substantially between controlled laboratory environments and actual residential, commercial, industrial, aviation, or other applications.
Performance may be affected by factors including:
- Room or building size and configuration
- Airflow patterns and air-change rates
- Contaminant type, concentration, and generation rate
- Temperature, relative humidity, and other environmental conditions
- Equipment sizing, placement, installation, and operating configuration
- Filtration, ventilation, and other air-treatment technologies operating within the space
- Treatment duration, occupancy, and building operating conditions
Laboratory testing provides a controlled method of evaluating technology performance but does not necessarily reproduce the complex and continuously changing conditions found in occupied buildings.
Accordingly, performance demonstrated in a laboratory or test chamber should not be assumed to represent the same reduction percentage, treatment rate, or time required to achieve a comparable result in every real-world application.
Third-Party Scientific Research
Aeiro uses relevant published scientific literature, independent research, microbiological data, and established physicochemical principles to support ongoing technology development and the evaluation of contaminant-treatment strategies.
Scientific findings involving comparable organisms, compounds, electrical properties, or treatment mechanisms may provide useful information for developing and refining TBPI operating parameters.
However, research conducted by third parties using different equipment, methodologies, or experimental conditions does not independently establish the efficacy of Aeiro equipment.
References to third-party studies, scientific institutions, researchers, or publications do not imply their endorsement, approval, certification, or validation of Aeiro products unless expressly stated and documented.
Aeiro distinguishes between results demonstrated through direct testing of its technology and scientific findings used to inform product development.
General Product Disclaimers
Aeiro air-purification technologies are intended to function as components of an appropriate indoor air-quality management strategy.
Air purification should complement, rather than replace, applicable source-control practices, mechanical filtration, appropriate ventilation, building maintenance, and other established environmental management measures.
Air-purification equipment cannot independently eliminate all sources of indoor contamination or correct underlying building conditions, including excessive moisture, water intrusion, or ongoing contaminant generation.
Product descriptions, specifications, operating capabilities, and published technical information are provided to explain the intended functions and applications of Aeiro technologies.
Any express product warranties, contractual remedies, or limitations of liability are governed by the applicable written warranty, purchase agreement, or terms of sale, subject to applicable law.
Target Selection & Technology Configuration
Aeiro's TBPI technology provides the ability to configure ionization operating parameters based on selected airborne contaminants or contaminant categories.
Available selections may include specific viruses, bacteria, molds, particulate matter, volatile organic compounds, static electricity, and other environmental contaminants.
TBPI operating parameters are developed using a combination of Aeiro-sponsored laboratory testing, relevant scientific literature, microbial and physicochemical characteristics, field observations, and the analysis and recommendations of Aeiro's Ph.D.-level microbiologist and technical team.
Not every contaminant available for selection within the TBPI software, mobile application, website, or contaminant database has been individually tested for efficacy using Aeiro equipment.
The availability of a contaminant-specific setting indicates that operating parameters have been developed for that target. It does not necessarily establish that the selected configuration has been independently validated against that specific contaminant.
Selection of a target does not establish that the contaminant is present in the treated environment or guarantee a particular reduction, removal, or inactivation rate.
Contaminant-specific settings may be refined or updated as additional scientific data, laboratory testing, and technical information become available.
Microbial Control, Sterilization & Infection Prevention
Aeiro technologies may reduce or inactivate certain microorganisms under conditions supported by applicable testing and scientific evidence.
However, reducing or inactivating an airborne microorganism does not necessarily establish complete elimination of that organism from an occupied environment.
Unless specifically supported by product-specific testing and applicable regulatory requirements, Aeiro products are not represented as providing sterilization, complete disinfection, or guaranteed elimination of all biological contaminants.
Performance demonstrated against airborne microorganisms should not automatically be interpreted as equivalent performance against microorganisms on surfaces, within building materials, or in other environments.
A demonstrated reduction in airborne microbial concentration does not, by itself, establish a corresponding reduction in disease transmission or infection risk.
Aeiro products should not be relied upon as the sole means of infection prevention or biological hazard control in applications requiring established infection-control or safety procedures.
EPA Establishment Registration & Regulatory Compliance
Aeiro air-purification products are manufactured for Aeiro by a contract manufacturing company operating a facility registered with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and assigned an EPA Establishment Number.
EPA Establishment registration identifies the facility where regulated products are produced. It does not constitute EPA registration, certification, approval, or endorsement of any individual Aeiro product, nor does it represent an EPA determination concerning product safety or efficacy.
Under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), qualifying pesticidal devices generally are not required to obtain individual EPA product registrations. Such devices remain subject to applicable federal requirements governing production, labeling, advertising, and product claims.
The regulatory classification of a particular product depends on its design, composition, intended use, and associated claims.
Compliance with other applicable federal, state, or local requirements, certifications, and industry standards must be evaluated on a product-specific and jurisdiction-specific basis.
References to regulatory organizations, testing standards, or certifications apply only where the relevant compliance or certification has been established for the specific product or configuration.
Ozone Emissions & Secondary Byproducts
Electronic air-cleaning technologies, including ionization-based systems, should be evaluated for the potential generation of ozone and other secondary chemical byproducts.
The presence and concentration of such emissions, where applicable, may depend on equipment design, operating conditions, environmental chemistry, and other application-specific factors.
Aeiro statements concerning ozone emissions, secondary byproducts, or compliance with applicable emission limits are based on available product-specific testing and supporting documentation.
Where certifications or test results are referenced, those findings apply only to the equipment models, operating configurations, and test conditions covered by the applicable documentation.
Results associated with one Aeiro product or operating configuration should not automatically be assumed to apply to every product, application, or operating condition.
Air Quality Monitoring & Sensor Limitations
Aeiro air-quality monitoring products and software provide environmental measurements, estimates, and historical trends based on the capabilities of the installed sensors.
Depending on the product configuration, monitored parameters may include temperature, relative humidity, carbon dioxide, formaldehyde, particulate matter, total volatile organic compounds, and other supported measurements.
Sensor accuracy and displayed values may be affected by calibration, sensor aging, placement, environmental conditions, interfering substances, maintenance, and other operating factors.
Certain sensor measurements, including total volatile organic compound readings, may represent estimates or aggregate measurements rather than identification or quantification of individual chemical compounds.
Unless a product incorporates a specifically validated detection capability, air-quality monitoring data does not establish the presence, absence, identity, or concentration of a particular virus, bacterium, mold species, or other biological pathogen.
Displayed air-quality information should not be interpreted as verification that an environment is free from hazardous contaminants or that specified health, safety, or regulatory conditions have been achieved.
Ventilation, Engineering & Code Compliance
Aeiro technologies may be incorporated into engineered indoor air-quality strategies, including applications evaluated under the Indoor Air Quality Procedure of ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 62.1, where applicable.
The use of air-cleaning technologies as part of a ventilation strategy must be evaluated in accordance with the applicable edition of the standard, adopted building and mechanical codes, project requirements, and relevant authorities having jurisdiction.
Any proposed reduction in outdoor ventilation air must be supported by an appropriate engineering evaluation addressing required indoor air-quality objectives, contaminant control, building pressure, system performance, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Installation of Aeiro equipment does not independently authorize reductions in outdoor ventilation rates or deviations from applicable ventilation, building, or mechanical code requirements.
Potential reductions in equipment capacity, energy consumption, ventilation demand, or operating costs depend on project-specific engineering and operating conditions and are not guaranteed.
Responsibility for the design, approval, and implementation of building ventilation systems remains with the appropriate qualified design professionals, contractors, building operators, and authorities having jurisdiction.
Installation, Operation, Maintenance & Product Limitations
Aeiro equipment must be installed, operated, inspected, and maintained in accordance with applicable product instructions, technical specifications, electrical requirements, and safety guidelines.
Improper installation, incompatible equipment, unauthorized modifications, insufficient maintenance, or operation outside specified conditions may adversely affect product performance, reliability, and safety.
Automated features, including contaminant-specific operating modes, electrode-cleaning mechanisms, software controls, and equipment monitoring functions, do not eliminate the need for appropriate inspection, maintenance, or verification of system operation.
Connected products and software-controlled features may be affected by interruptions in electrical power, communications networks, sensor operation, or supporting services. Remote monitoring and control functions should not be relied upon as the sole means of verifying proper equipment operation where independent verification is required.
Aeiro may update product designs, operating parameters, software, technical specifications, and recommended maintenance procedures as its technologies evolve, subject to applicable contractual obligations and law.
Users, installers, and building operators should consult the documentation applicable to their specific product model and configuration to ensure proper installation, operation, and maintenance.
